Tracy and Wanda Barnett
Tracy and Wanda Barnett
were both raised in Oklahoma City. Married January 12, 1991, they
now
have three sons, Devin who is 13, Nathan who is 10 and Aiden who is 1.
They first served as Associate and Youth Pastor at The Rock Assembly of
God, in Oklahoma City. They then pastored two churches in Oklahoma before
accepting a position in Sullivan, Missouri as Senior Pastor. Although they
had many wonderful people in a nice debt free facility that would seat 700
people, Tracy and Wanda knew there was something missing in their ministry. In
June of 2000, they felt that God was asking them to step out on faith and
leave a congregation of 300 to revitalize a dying church. Praise Assembly
of God church was then Glad Tidings. It was a very old building located in
a very old neighborhood.
When the Barnett's first came to the church, it only
had 20 senior adults and a few kids that came on the bus. Since that time,
God has now blessed them with a beautiful new 17,000 square foot facility
that they built in less than three years. The new sanctuary seats 400
people. Praise Assembly is the fourth church that the Barnett's have
pastored. Pastor Barnett is a progressive-minded pastor with a lot of
vision for the kingdom of God. He preaches relevant Bible messages with a
Pentecostal fire.
